Illness was, for me, much more than a physical trial: it was a spiritual initiation. In the vulnerability of the body, deeper cracks opened, awakening soul wounds I had long carried in silence. These wounds, often called narcissistic in human language, struck at the very heart of my identity, my worth, my right to exist.
And yet, instead of collapsing, this sudden resurfacing became an invitation to dive deep. Illness, by stripping me of my usual points of reference, brought me back to the essential. It shattered illusions to confront me with what remained: my bare being, with its wounds, its lacks, but also its profound strength.
Each pain, each memory rising to the surface became a key: not a punishment, but an opening. I learned to see these wounds as messengers revealing parts of myself I had once refused to acknowledge. They taught me the art of embracing imperfection, of loving myself in fragility, and of welcoming life not as I had imagined it, but as it was given.
This is where the spiritual revelation came. Illness showed me that healing does not simply mean regaining a healthy body, but rediscovering the unity of the soul. It taught me that behind every trial lies a call to be reborn, to align more deeply with Source, and to embody my light.
Spirituality then became the bridge of transcendence. By connecting to a dimension greater than myself, I found the strength to no longer identify solely with my wounds. Prayer, meditation, silence, and connection to the Light allowed me to transform pain into wisdom. As if every tear shed turned into a pearl of understanding, every scar into a sacred passage toward expanded consciousness.
To transcend our wounds through spirituality is to recognize that they do not define who we are. They become portals, initiations that open us to our eternal essence: Love and Light. When we place them into the hands of the Divine, they cease to be burdens and become stepping stones.
This inner journey revealed to me that our wounds do not separate us from the spiritual path—they are the path. For to the degree we descend into our shadows with love, we uncover a greater light, a deeper peace, and a more authentic joy.
Thus, illness was transformed into an initiation to Love—a love that begins with oneself, expands to others, and finally embraces the entire universe.
To transcend wounds through spirituality is to understand that they are not enemies but teachers. Every crack becomes a sacred passage, every pain a call to return to the Heart. When we open ourselves to the Light, we no longer seek to erase wounds but to transform them. They become the raw material of our inner alchemy: from the lead of our suffering emerges the gold of our wisdom.
Prayer, meditation, contemplation, journaling, sacred rituals, and daily blessings are all tools that open these inner gateways. In silence, the soul remembers its truth: “I am Love, I am Light, nothing can stain my divine essence.” Little by little, the memory of wounds transmutes into the memory of the soul, and we walk no longer burdened by the past, but with the lightness of Grace.
And here the deeper meaning of our path is revealed: the true mission of the soul is not to flee from pain, nor to remain imprisoned in it, but to transcend it. For the soul came to experience shadow in order to reveal the Light more fully, to taste separation in order to cherish unity, to walk through fragility in order to recognize its eternal strength.
Every soul wound carries within it a seed of healing which, once awakened, becomes another step on the ladder of ascension. In healing our personal wounds, we participate in the healing of the collective. For the soul is never isolated: it is woven into the great living fabric of humanity and of the universe. In healing itself, it heals the world.
Thus, the ultimate aim is not only healing but growth. Healing is but a passage, a stage on the great journey of elevation. The soul remembers its divine origin and, through each experience, it refines, expands, and rises. This is the ascension of the soul: becoming ever more conscious of its unity with Source, until it fully embodies the Love and Light it has always been.
In this movement, life itself becomes a sacred ritual. Every trial is a mirror, every relationship an initiation, every moment an opportunity for awakening. Nothing is left to chance. Even our deepest wounds become allies, for they guide us toward wholeness and remind us of the sacred mission for which we came: to love, to heal, and to grow in consciousness.
This is the Great Work: to make of our life a path of transmutation, where shadows turn to light and the soul, step by step, draws closer to its original home. Ascension is not a departure to another place, but a deeper rooting in the truth of what we already are: eternal, luminous, divine.
And so, yes, the soul’s true mission is to walk through, to tend, to heal, to transform. But above all, to remember. For in remembering, it rises. And in its ascension, it lifts all of humanity into a new vibration of love and unity.
