The kidneys are known to store fears, phobias, and past traumas. By practicing this exercise daily for two weeks, you can release a great deal of these heavy emotions that have accumulated throughout your life. Left unresolved, they often manifest in the body as lower back pain, sexual difficulties, bone and ear pain, hair loss, or frequent urges to urinate.
Sit with your legs together as shown in the image, lean slightly forward, and clasp your fingers around your knees. Bring your awareness to your kidneys and to your ears, which are the energy exit points of the kidneys. Inhale slowly and deeply, while visualizing a fear, a phobia, or a traumatic memory that you experienced at any point in your life. Then, exhale gently through pursed lips, making the sound CHUUUOOOO, releasing the fear with your breath.
Repeat this cycle seven times. On the fourth breath, place your palms over your kidneys—you may feel the cool vibration of the emotion leaving your body.
You will know this practice is effective when, after two weeks, recalling the negative situation no longer triggers an emotional reaction. For deeper traumas or intense fears, practice twice a day.
