Inspired by “The Powers of Life” – Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov
By Reiki Master Marie-Dominique Rail
There is a great difference between wanting peace and living in peace. In our modern world, peace is often seen as comfort — an absence of conflict, a quiet moment away from noise. Yet, Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov invites us to go beyond this outer idea. In The Powers of Life, he reminds us that true peace is an inner union, a deep alignment between body, soul, and spirit.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.”-Jesus
These words are not only a blessing but a spiritual key. To bring peace does not simply mean to calm the world around us — it means to become a vessel of peace within. This requires awareness, inner purification, and gentle mastery of our thoughts and emotions. True peace cannot dwell in a restless mind or a divided heart.
The Inner Noise: The “Transistor” of Our Thoughts
Aïvanhov compares our mind to a transistor that never stops playing — always tuned into the world’s chaos. Even in the stillness of nature, the storm may continue within us, fueled by fear, judgment, or desire. We often believe peace is found when all is calm outside, yet if the mind still whirls inside, this peace is but an illusion.
True peace begins when we learn to turn off the inner noise, to listen to silence — not as the absence of sound, but as a living presence. This silence is the soul’s dwelling place, where the heart’s light and divine guidance emerge.
Microcosm and Macrocosm: Peace as Universal Resonance
Aïvanhov teaches that the human being is a microcosm of the cosmos. Every organ, every thought, every vibration within us is linked to a cosmic force. When we harmonize our inner energies, we participate in the harmony of the universe itself.
Peace thus becomes a creative act. Each aligned breath, each luminous thought, each calm emotion sends ripples of healing through creation. This peace is not passive — it is an active vibration, an offering to Life.
To be a “child of God,” as Jesus said, is to embody this resonance between the Divine and the human. It is to become a reflection of universal consciousness in matter — a point of balance between Heaven and Earth.
Peace as a State of Total Harmony
In the body, peace manifests when each organ fulfills its role in harmony with the others. In the soul, it arises when every emotion finds its rightful place, neither repressed nor excessive. In the spirit, it blossoms when thought ceases to be a battlefield and becomes a space of clarity and light.
True peace is therefore a state of holistic well-being, a vibrational coherence born of respect for Life at every level — physical, emotional, and spiritual. When imbalance appears in one realm, the entire symphony wavers. To cultivate peace is to retune the inner orchestra until everything sings together in divine harmony.
Practicing Peace Alignment
Each day offers us the opportunity to attune ourselves to this sacred frequency. Try this simple practice inspired by Aïvanhov and the Reiki path:
Final Reflection
Peace is not an outer quest — it is an inner awakening. It is born from the conscious choice to live in harmony with Life, to honor light in every experience, even in the storm.
When we become peace itself, we no longer need to seek it. It flows through us, naturally, effortlessly.
Peace is not a temporary state; it is a dimension of being, a spiritual signature.
And the more we cultivate this vibration in our hearts, the more the world around us softens, opens, and rises in love.
“Peace be with you… and remain within you.” - Jesus
